PEANUTTY - BROWNIE -BARS

a delicious double layer brownie cookie bar ........................... courtesy holiday gifts .........
Ingredients
- 3/4 - cup melted butter shopping list
- 1/2- cup baking cocoa shopping list
- 1 1/2- cups sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- 3- eggs shopping list
- 1 1/4 - cups flour shopping list
- 1/2- cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2- cup water shopping list
- 2- cups peanut butter chips ( morsels) shopping list
- 1/2- cup semisweet chocolate chips (morsels) shopping list
- 1- tablespoon shortening shopping list
- 1/4- teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
How to make it
- Combine butter and cocoa in bowl; mix well
- Add 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla….
- Mix well
- Beat in eggs 1 at a time
- Stir in flour
- Spread in 10x15 inch baking pan lined with greased foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees f. for 12 minutes.
- Cool in pan for 2 minutes
- Invert onto wire rack; peel off foil cool completely..
- Bring 1/2 cup sugar and water to a boil in saucepan; remove from heat.
- Stir in peanut butter chips until melted.
- Cool slightly.
- Cut baked layer into two 7 1/2 x 10 inch layers.
- Spread peanut butter mixture between and on top of layers, stacking on serving plate.
- Combine chocolate chips and shortening in a double broiler
- Heat over hot water until melted.
- Stir in 1/4 -teaspoon vanilla
- Drizzle over layers.
- Let stand until set
- Cut into bars
- Yield 3 dozen bars
