Georgia Peanut Cake

- 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- a pinch of cinnamon - ( I like a BIG pinch) shopping list
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup butter(lightly salted) shopping list
- 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 6 large eggs shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- peanut butter icing(optional) shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Grease and dust with floura 9 x 13 inch pan
- Position shelf in lower third of oven and preheat to 350 degrees F.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- In large mixing bowl, cream peanut butter and butter
- Slowly add the sugar beating until creamy
- Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
- Beat in vanilla
- With mixer on low speed, add flour alternately with milk.
- Start with flour, then end with flour
- Turn batter into prepared pan
- Bake 40 - 45 minutes or until cake tests done
- Cool completely
- When cool spread with your favorite peanut butter icing.....
- Don't worry, I will post a recipe for the peanut butter icing later...
- Sprinkle with the peanuts after frosting.
