Sugar Cookie Apple Crisp Recipe

Great tasting apple crisp. Topping is made with prepared sugar cookie dough.

Ingredients
- 2Tbs butter,melted and cooled
- 1/4c packed brown sugar
- 1tsp lemon juice
- 1/2tsp cinnamon
- 1/4tsp allspice
- pinch nutmeg
- pinch salt
- 6 med. apples,peeled,cored,chopped into bite-size chunks
- 14 oz. pkg. prepared sugar cookie dough,broken into chunks
- 1/2c rolled oats
Directions
- Heat oven to 375. Coat a 9x9" casserole or deep baking dish with cooking spray
- In a large bowl,combine the butter,sugar,lemon juice,cinnamon,allspice,nutmeg and salt. Add the apples and toss to coat. Transfer the apples to the casserole dish;set aside
- In food processor,combine cookie dough and oats. Pulse several times or till mixture resembles coarse,wet sand. Use your hands to sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 20-25 mins. or till topping is lightly browned and the apples bubble. Let cool slightly before serving.
