This is a classy salisbury Steak Bourguignonne worthly of a company dinner. Great with pasta, fresh peas, carrots, a salad and a roll. You are really cooking now!

Ingredients
  • 1 can Campbells mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Burgundy or another red dry wine.
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp marjororam

Directions
  1. Mix thoroughly 1/3 cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg and salt.
  2. Shape into 6 oval patties.
  3. In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and crumble.
  4. Pour off all but 2 tbs. drippings.
  5. Brown patties in drippings. Stir in remaining soup, water, wine, and seasonings.
  6. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally.
  7. Serve over cooked noodles, garnish with bacon. Makes 6 servings.

I LOVE salusbury steak with gravy on top. Just the steak for me, don't what to give up a cubic inch of space for anything but the steak. O yea, the gravy that is made with rest of soup, this is just evil in goodness. Printed out to make and do pics. Best. JJ

I had my second frozen steak tonight with mashed potatoes. This is just to frigging good. I am going to make a double batch and freeze them. It is so great to pull out the package, pop it in the microwave and 3 minutes later an awesome dinner. This is the real thing, use the cab wine.
