Ingredients
  • 5 egg yolk, beaten
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice OR regular lime juice
  • 1 UNBAKED graham cracker crust OR store bought, if desired

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. (190 C)
  2. Combine the egg yolks, condensed milk and lime juice.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Pour into pie shell.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Allow to cool.
  8. Top with whipped cream.
  9. Garnish with lime slices OR zest
  10. **If using a store-bought shell, place it inside a glass pie plate to ensure the crust does not burn.

Just to let you know, I made this WONDERFULLY AWESOME Key Lime Pie. WE sat and ate almost the whole thing, my husband and I. That was dinner. lol
I also had chocolate graham cracker crumbs so I used them. There are 3 slices left. 1 is for my neighbor.lol WE get the last 2. And Do you think It would work with oranges? sounds good also.


That was a quick recipe try, sun! I'm so happy you guys liked it! Truly? I would think that this could be made with oranges or any other juice... pineapple would be tasty also. The sky's the limit here, sun! Thanks!

Well, I tried the Orange, was good but.... I LOVE the Key Lime. But the pineapple sounds good also. my husband loves this. haah


You know, sun, I think I'd probably like the Key lime best too or MAYBE lemon.. I'm a "tart" fan. Thanks for letting me know what happened with the orange. Now I know to save that flavor for a later time!
