We have Chinese Feast in this weekend, however I made 'Japanese' grilled dumpling for that. Dumpling is normally boiled or steamed in Chinese, but Japanese one is different, I think. This is my original for my family.

Ingredients
  • A) Minced Pork 500g
  • A) Chinese Cabbage 100g (shredded and boiled)
  • A) Green Cabbage 100g (shredded and boiled)
  • A) Grated Ginger 3 tablespoon
  • A) Grated Garlic 3 tablespoon
  • A) Sesame oil 1 tablespoon
  • A) Chinese Chive leaf 1/2 bunch
  • A) Finely chopped Small Prawn (boiled) 200g
  • A) Finely chopped Spring onion 1/2 cup
  • A) Cornstarch 2 tablespoon
  • Dumpling pastry (Gyoza skin) 2 packs (50pcs)
  • Oil for grill
  • Soy sauce and red pepper oil for serve

Directions
  1. All A) ingredients mix well by hands or mixer
  2. making dumpling with dumpling pastry (see step by step photos)
  3. grill and steam it
  4. served with soy sauce and red pepper oil

I love gyoza too! I like your recipe with step by step photos. Have you tried using kimchi instead of cabbage? It offers a nice spicy kick to the dumpling! Cheers, Daria

Many thanks for your comment! Yes, I have tried kimuchi before, however my daughter could not eat, and she was sooo upset it. Kimuchi and cheese is good as well!!! Sagami
