I love, love, love sloppy joes and this one sounds great. I've got it bookmarked!

Works for me....Thanks! You can never have too many sloppy joe recipes. YUM!

Sweet pickle juice???

Mcboo-You can use either I prefer the sweet but hubby likes the dill you can also use vinegar but the pickle juice gives it a little more flavor.

Bookmarked to definitely make...love the homemade sloppy joes! Thanks so much...

These were as easy to make as opening a can of Manwich! I made the mixture first thing in the morning and let it sit in the refrigerator all day so the flavors could meld. Like most tomato based sauces, I think it tastes better after it sits a while and is reheated. The only thing I didn't add was the hot sauce, but otherwise followed the recipe. I did have to take the lid off while simmering, as it got a little soupy for my taste, but it thickened up nicely when I did that. Next time I think I will try using all ketchup instead of tomato sauce to get the extra spices. I served these with oven baked potato wedges and steamed green beans. A quick, easy meal! Thank you for sharing your recipe, sanzoe!
