Sweet Hot Cornbread

- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 egg, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup melted butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients, flour through salt.
- In a smaller bowl, combine egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir wet mixture into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add jalapenos.
- Pour into a greased or parchment lined 8-in. square baking dish. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Enjoy!

Yummy! Just made this to go alongside some chipolte blue chili. Light, fluffy, sweet (but not too sweet) will make again for sure!

Yum...this was good. We ate with 5 bean chili! SOOOO GOOD! I sprinkled a little extra sugar on top before baking as we like our corn bread really sweet. Definately a keeper!
