How to make it

  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients, flour through salt.
  • In a smaller bowl, combine egg, sour cream, milk and butter; stir wet mixture into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add jalapenos.
  • Pour into a greased or parchment lined 8-in. square baking dish. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Enjoy!

    Yum...this was good. We ate with 5 bean chili! SOOOO GOOD! I sprinkled a little extra sugar on top before baking as we like our corn bread really sweet. Definately a keeper!

    Yummy! Just made this to go alongside some chipolte blue chili. Light, fluffy, sweet (but not too sweet) will make again for sure!

    I've never seen a cornbread recipe with sour cream and butter in it. It aounds really good.
