Ingredients
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup “half and half”
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
  • Jack Daniels, as much as it takes!

Directions
  1. Have a double Jack Daniels.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the eggs, milk, “half and half” & sugar.
  3. Have another double Jack Daniels.
  4. Whisk egg mixture rapidly until mixture thickens.
  5. Rest your arm and have another double Jack Daniels.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and nutmeg to the thickened egg mixture.
  7. Stop and have another double Jack Daniels.
  8. Slowly stir the egg mixture to incorporate the spices.
  9. Have another double Jack Daniels.
  10. If there is any Jack Daniels left, add at least half of it to the mixture, retaining enough to have another double Jack Daniels.
  11. Call the local liquor store and have more Jack Daniels delivered.
  12. Add more Jack Daniels to the mixture and have another double.
  13. Place the egg mixture in the fridge and finish off the Jack Daniels.
  14. When you sober up, serve the eggnog cold, but not before you go out and get more Jack Daniels.

It would be best to have help with this recipe. If anyone follows it correctly, they will likely need help in recognizing the fridge, by step 13. Arguably, one of the best recipes of this type that I have seen in years. Rock ON.
5 forks from me!!

Thanks for the giggle! Mare also happy holidays

Ok that is really funny, Have a great Christmas.

Oh and have you noticed your sous chef starts looking prettier and prettier when your making this. Just an added benefit I guess. lol

Thanks for the great comments everyone. The recipe is a good eggnog recipe that's easy and quick. Merry Christmas and God Bless Us Every One.

Mmmmm. Brings back great memories of my dad making egg nog on New Year's Eve when we were kids. No booze in it for the kids back then, however....some things do improve with age like the alcoholic content of egg nog. And us! (Both our alcoholic content AND how WE improve with age...LOL!)

Now you've made me want to find my ex-mother-in-law's eggnog recipe ! Dang ! She loved Jack, by the way.....

Thanks for the great post - I will be using this on Valentine's Day I suspect '-)

I would like to suggest using Bacardi Instead of Jack Daniels, The frequency and amounts should stay the same however lol

Glen, My Grandfather always made his eggnog with rum. Don't forget that rum is made from sugar. With a new national fixation on living and eating in a more healthy style, use Jack Daniels in an effort to limit my sugar intake! It's my little way of conforming to the new food and eating morals!
