How to make it

  • Place smoked turkey wing in 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker. Add 1 cup of the broth (refrigerate remaining broth). Top with onion, peas and sausage.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
  • Remove turkey wing, and pull meat from bones; discard bones, skin and fat. Return turkey to cooker. Add remaining broth, rice and red pepper sauce to taste. Increase heat setting to high. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until rice is tender. Garnish with parsley.
  • 4 servings (1 1/2 cups each).
