How to make it

  • Wash and sterilize jars, seals and lids.
  • scrub beets and boil until tender,drain then cool enough to handle, then peel.
  • slice or dice beets and fill jars to 1 in below rim.
  • Bring to a boil: sugar, water and vinegar
  • Pour over beets.
  • make sure rim is free of anything and put on seal and rim.
  • As the jars cool , the seal will take. You will hear a pop
  • recipe can be halfed or quartered. I usually do 1/2
