Beer Braised Cabbage

- 2Tbs unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 onion,chopped fine shopping list
- 1/2c beer,preferably light -bodied lager shopping list
- 1Tbs whole grain mustard shopping list
- 1/2tsp minced fresh thyme shopping list
- 1 small head green cabbage(about 1 ;b.),halved,cored and sliced thin shopping list
- 2tsp cider vinegar shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in large skillet over medium -high heat. cook onion until softened,about 5 mins. Stir in beer,mustard and thyme and simmer until slightly thickened,about 2 mins.
- add cabbage and vinegar and cook covered,stirring occasionsally,until wilted and tender,about 8 mins. Season with salt and pepper.

I had Pork Loin for Dinner, today and this would have been the perfect side dish for it. I wish I had seen it a lot earlier but I will do it the next time for sure!
