Not a traditional pudding using eggs as a thickener but good just the same.
See Butterscotch Pudding for more spoon licking.

I remember my granmother making pudding. Me and my Popa, loved it. I do most of my cooking from scratch but I haven't tried pudding so I'm eager to try this wonderful recipe.

I haven't had homemade pudding in ages. I'll be trying it this weekend. I cook from scratch whenever possible. That way, I know what goes into my food. Just printed your recipe. Thanks for sharing. :)

What memories that brings back, pleclare - mom and grandma, comfort food, "skimming" the top of the pudding...this is truly great stuff (as are most of the simplier things in life!) - I have to make this just for old times sake, and to recall the delicious flavor of homemade pudding - it truly is far beyond what we call pudding in a box today...Krum

I'm in complete agreement with diva, pat! Maybe we were all better off, even nutritionally speaking, when we cooked from scratch. You gotta love the "conveniences" we have available but, when there's time, do it from scratch! You got my five, Pat and my thanks.

wonderful, just wonderful - my mother used to make this - I wish people would make homemade pudding - it truly puts that stuff in the box, in the water but good!

And great tip too pleclare regarding the buttered wax paper - I used plastic wrap - but never buttered it...thanks!
