Butterscotch Pudding

- 1/2c packed dark brown sugar shopping list
- 11/2c whole milk shopping list
- 2Tbs plus 2tsp cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2c heavy cream shopping list
- 2Tbs unsalted butter,cut in bits shopping list
- 1tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk together brown sugar cornstarch,and 1/4tsp salt in heavy medium saucepan,whisk in milk and cream.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat,whisking frequently, then boil,whisking 1 min. Remove from heat,whisk in butter and vanilla. Pour into bowl,then cover surface with buttered wax paper and chill till cold,at least 11/2 hours.

wonderful, just wonderful - my mother used to make this - I wish people would make homemade pudding - it truly puts that stuff in the box, in the water but good!
And great tip too pleclare regarding the buttered wax paper - I used plastic ...moredivaliscious in Dutchess County loved it -
