Wine Soup With Cherries

- 2 tbsp sago or tapioca shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1 quart cherries (pitted) shopping list
- 1 quart water shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup claret shopping list
- 3 or 4 inch stick cinnamon stick shopping list
- 1/2 lemon, sliced fine shopping list
- 2 egg yolks well beaten shopping list
How to make it
- Cook sago or tapioca in 1 cup boiling water until tender, adding more water if necessary.
- Boil rest of ingredients, except egg yolks for 15 minutes.
- Add the cooked sago or tapioca, bring to a boil, then pour very gradually over the two well beaten egg yolks.
- Serve Chilled.
- Strawberry, raspberry, currant, plum, rhubarb or any dried fruit alone or in combination may be prepared the same way, or without the wine.
