I found this recipe my mom gave me years ago. This cake was one of my very favorites growing up. I don't know why but my mom made it for about every picnic we went too. I remember being so excited for dessert. I have never made this cake myself but talked my daughter into letting me make it for her 16th birthday on Feb. Read more 16, 2009! - 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup coconut
- Icing:
- 2 env. Dream Whip( 3 oz)
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 pkg. instant pistachio pudding
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Ingredients

1 pkg. white cake mix shopping list
3/4 cup cooking oil shopping list
3 eggs shopping list
1 cup 7-up shopping list
1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant pistachio pudding shopping list
1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
1/2 cup coconut shopping list
Icing: shopping list
2 env. Dream Whip( 3 oz) shopping list
1 1/2 cup milk shopping list
1 pkg. instant pistachio pudding shopping list
1/2 cup coconut shopping list
3/4 cup chopped pecans shopping list

How to make it

Combine first 7 ingredients in order given.
Mix and pour into 9x13 inch greased and floured pan.
Bake 45 minutes or until done in 350* oven.
Combine icing ingredients; beat until thick.
Spread on cool cake.
Sprinkle with nuts and coconuts.

Wow a cake with my favorite ingredient pistachio pudding both in the cake and the icing MMMM with coconut too 1000 forks and a huge smile from ear to ear.
