Ingredients
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 C butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 2 C graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 C chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions
  1. Beat cream cheese until fluffy
  2. Add condensed milk, vanilla, & egg
  3. Mix well
  4. Melt butterscotch chips and butter in saucepan.
  5. Add and stir in cracker crumbs and nuts.
  6. Pat 1/2 butterscotch mixture into greased 9x13 baking dish
  7. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining butterscotch mixture on top.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 min or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Let cool and then cut into bars.
  10. I personally like to eat them while they are still a little warm.

The flavor in these are wonderful! Mine didn't stay together very well...but I think maybe I should have let the cream cheese come to room temp. before mixing...I'm not sure. Anyway...regardless we loved these and can't wait to make again and again!
