- 2lb tomatillos shopping list
- 1.5lb roma tomato shopping list
- 1 med. white onion shopping list
- 1 med. red onion shopping list
- 6 lg cloves garlic - minced shopping list
- 1C cilantro shopping list
- 2 sm. serrano chili - minced shopping list
- 6 lg. Hatch green chilis - roasted, de-seeded, med chop shopping list
- 1T green chili powder shopping list
- 1T white pepper shopping list
- 1T salt (to taste) shopping list
- 7oz chicken broth shopping list
- olive oil (for roasting) shopping list
How to make it
- roast tomatillos, romas, onions for 15min - flip - 10 more minutes.
- place all ingred except the cilantro in a stew pot. dont forget the juice from the roasting pan. simmer for at least 1 hour.
- strain and cool. save liquid.
- place cilantro and strainer contents in food processor and pulse.
- combine back with strained juice.
- serve with chips, pour over a burrito, nice with eggs, etc...
