Ingredients
  • 2 1-1 ½ in thick center cut pork chops
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup Italian style bread crumbs
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons Creole seasoning, divided
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • PAM cooking spray
  • 8X8 Pyrex baking dish

Directions
  1. Whisk the egg, add it to the milk and 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning, mix together and set aside.
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs, flour and 1 tablespoon of Creole seasoning. Set aside.
  3. Season the chops with the salt, pepper and the 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning.
  4. Dredge the chops in the egg/milk mixture, then in the breadcrumb/flour mixture. Set aside.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. In a non stick frying pan heat the olive oil on medium heat.
  7. Brown chops for 1 ½ -2 minutes on both sides, not necessary to cook though but just enough for a light brown.
  8. Lightly spray the 8X8 Pyrex baking dish with the PAM cooking spray.
  9. Place chops in the baking dish.
  10. Add the water to the baking dish.
  11. Cover with aluminum foil and seal very tightly.
  12. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
  13. Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
  14. Very carefully uncover and serve.

This sounds great! My husband loves pork chops but I've never had very good luck with them (I always end up overcooking them). I'll definitely give this a try. Thanks for the post!

My oldest son is a pork chop freak, so he is saving this recipe for himself, too. Missed being able to be here at GR for awhile. Have to catch up on about 6 weeks of recipes!
