Ingredients

How to make it

  • Parboil peppers in salted water 3-5 mins
  • in a small skillet heat oil and saute' carrot, shallots and 1tb ginger until soft
  • in a medium saucepan combine crushed tomatoes, 1/2c soy sauce, 2tb ginger, 3tb honey, simmer 20 mins
  • in a large bowl combine ground beef, carrot shallot mixture, 1/2c soy sauce ,sesame seeds, rice and salt and pepper.
  • stuff peppers with the meat mixture
  • place in dutch oven or stock pot , pour sauce over and simmer on low 2- 2 1/2 hours. basting occasionally with the sauce.
  • sprinkle top with additional seasame seeds and serve.

    Great idea and they sound great...I'd decrease the ginger a bit, too, just cus though I like it, I don't like it overpowering in savory dishes...and, I'd cut the soy down, too, again, just for preference. LOVE seein' these recipes, and so glad you participated in this on...already lookin' forward to #7 :)

    These werent bad! I think if anyone else tries them they should cut down on the ginger just a tad! Maybe the honey alittle to...my wife though they were a little bit to sweet! Overall I think we were all satisfied with them.
