Canned Home Made Salsa Recipe

Ingredients

5-6 C Chopped Roma tomatoes

2 C chopped bell peppers

2-3 jalapenos or more if you like

2 C chopped onion

4 cloves garlic minced

3 hot banana peppers (can also use anaheims if you want)

3 sweet banana peppers(optional)

1/2 C apple cider vinegar

1/2 C lime or lemon juice

1 6oz can tomato paste

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp dry red pepper

1 bunch fresh cilantro chopped

Directions

mix ingredients together.

Put in pint jars

Process for 30 minutes in hot water bath

I use my food processor to chop everything. Can chop as coorse or as fine as you like.

Makes about 6-7 pints

I have never canned before, but I am plunning to this summer. Do you just put this in sterilzed jars , cap and put in boiling water for 30 minutes? You don't have to heat it up first? I hope not because it sounds so fresh.
