How to make it

  • In a large bowl combine wine, salt and pepper
  • Add chicken and pork
  • Mix well by hand
  • Shape into 6 patties
  • Chill for 30 minutes
  • Meanwhile, for sauce, stir together mustard, chives and garlic; set aside
  • Preheat grill to medium high
  • Place patties over heat, and reduce to medium
  • Cover and grill 7-9 minutes each side, turning only once, internal temp of 170
  • Top each burger with 2 slices of cheese and grill uncovered 2 or 3 minutes more, until cheese melts
  • Toast bread, and spread sauce on one side of each piece
  • Add lettuce, tomato and burgers
  • Serve open faced

    Don't see much ground chicken 'round these parts. Might be able to find a suitable substitute, like turkey. Otherwise, sounds very good.
