Bistro Burgers

- 2 T dry white wine, water, or chicken broth shopping list
- 1/4 t salt shopping list
- 1/4 t black pepper shopping list
- 1 lb ground chicken shopping list
- 1 lb ground pork shopping list
- 2 T creamy Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 T snipped fresh chives shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 - 4 1/2 oz round brie cheese, rind removed and cut into 12 slices shopping list
- 6 slices French bread shopping list
- 6 tomato slices shopping list
- radicchio or green leaf lettuce shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl combine wine, salt and pepper
- Add chicken and pork
- Mix well by hand
- Shape into 6 patties
- Chill for 30 minutes
- Meanwhile, for sauce, stir together mustard, chives and garlic; set aside
- Preheat grill to medium high
- Place patties over heat, and reduce to medium
- Cover and grill 7-9 minutes each side, turning only once, internal temp of 170
- Top each burger with 2 slices of cheese and grill uncovered 2 or 3 minutes more, until cheese melts
- Toast bread, and spread sauce on one side of each piece
- Add lettuce, tomato and burgers
- Serve open faced
