This is definatley not an authentic sangria recipe but it is very easy on the wallet and does the trick when you want a light and refreshing drink. this makes a lot so it is great to make for a bbq when you are penny pinching

I've made sangria a lot, and this would certainly be easy on the wallet. Thanks for the post, high 5.

What is an expensive sangria recipe? I thought sangria was juice, wine, and fruit? Being the wicked macho guy that I am, I am unaccustomed to anything swishier than bourbon, grain alcohol, or anything that tastes like broken glass.

Jeff, a lot of sangria recipes i have made usually call for several different boozes and fruit nectars. i am too cheap to pay for all that stuff. haha

I love sangria and this recipe looks great and inexpensive. Olive Garden makes a fantastic berry sangria. Did you know they will sell you a bottle of the syrup and you only have to add a red table wine and some fruit slices? You have my 5!

Sounds good, I make a similar version. I use cheap red wine & Diet orange soda and slice up oranges and whatever fruit I have on hand. We are ready for summer!!
