Ingredients

Pie shell frozen or you can make your own fresh pie shell

fresh strawberries (three baskets of strawberries)

fresh mint

water

corn starch

sugar or sugar substiute (1/2 cup) ....or about 1/2 splenda equivalent

walnuts and make them chunky

whipped cream over top or on sides for decoration and you can make it fresh

a bit of rum to kick it up a knotch just a drizzle or your favorite liqour

And chocolate syrup over the top and you have this decadent desert

Directions

Bake frozen pie shell

Wash, drain and hull strawberries

Put two cups of berries in a bowl and crush

mix crushed berries with water,sugar or sugar substitute and corn starch for about two minutes until glaze is thickened and clear

Put syrupy glaze through a fine strainer and let the pie shell and glaze cool together

pile remaining berries into pie shell

spoon glaze over berries

spoon whipping cream over top

add fresh mint

and fresh walnuts

and a spritz of rum to kick it up a knotch

then just a splash of chocolate syrup

for a delightful summer pie....and sweet bites to remember for always.
