Feasty Boys Bodacious Burgers

Feasty Boys, Chefs Jon Mayer and Jim Stump, whose cooking show can be seen on ESPN and other cable networks, are the creators of this fabulous burger!
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. ground beef (15% lean) shopping list
- 1 cup yellow onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped shopping list
- 1 raw egg, gently whisked shopping list
- 1 tsp. granulated salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- Your favorite cheese slices: Cheddar, Provolone, pepper Jack, Swiss, etc. shopping list
- Big deli burger rolls shopping list
- Real Mayo, tomato, Brown mustard, romaine lettuce, Good qaulity dill pickles shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine ground beef, onion, peppers, bacon and seasoning.
- In a separate small dish, gently whisk egg, breaking the yolk and mixing.
- Pour raw egg over meat mixture.
- Gently mix the ingredients together.
- When thoroughly mixed, form into fairly loosely packed patties.
- Place burgers on grill and cook approximately 10 to 15 minutes, turning only once.
- Once grilled to desired doneness, apply cheese if desired and allow to melt.
- Remove burgers from grill and allow to cool for approximately five minutes. (This allows all the juices to gradually settle into the burger for enhanced taste.)
- Place burger on toasted bun and top with your favorite condiments.
