Pecan Meltaways Recipe

Ingredients

1 C.butter or margarine, softened

1/2 C. powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2-1/4 C. all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp. salt

3/4 C. finely chopped pecans

additional powdered sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar and vanilla; mix well.

Combine the flour and salt; add to creamed mixture.

Stir in pecans.

Cover & chill 1 hr. or until firm.

Roll into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 min. roll in confectioners sugar while warm....roll in sugar again.

Makes about 4 dozen
