Caramel Pecan Pie Recipe
This is an old Kraft classic. I usually make it at the holidays, It's a nutty-gooey pie that leaves a nice taste that satisfies that hankering for something filling. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 40 pieces Caramels, don't forget to unwrap them
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teas Salt
  • 1 teas Vanilla
  • 3 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped
  • 1 9 inch Unbaked pastry shell

Directions
  1. Melt caramels with water & butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir occasionally until smooth.Combine sugar,salt & eggs. Gradually
  3. add caramel sauce and mix well.
  4. Stir in pecan halves & pour into pastry shell.Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes
  5. to 1 hour depending on your oven.
  6. Pie filling will appear soft,but becomes firm as it cools.
