Ingredients

How to make it

  • Spread thin layer of mayonnaise on each muffin.
  • Sprinkle granulated garlic on each muffin
  • One thick slice of tomato is preferred otherwise per the pics slice thin and cover the muffin.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  • Layer tomato with cheese
  • Add basil
  • Add a couple of pinches of cheese to bind the basil to the first layer of cheese
  • Broil until small spots of browning – see pics.
  • You can turn the tray to get even browning
  • I sprinkle a little salt on the muffins when down and it really enhances the flavor

    I've made something like this in a piecrust with some balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. GREAT idea on the English muffins - we'll definately be enjoying this one!! Thanks!
