Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar

2 eggs

1 can fruit cocktail (19 0z.)

2 c. flour

2 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

SAUCE

1/2 c. butter

1 c. Carnation Evaporated Milk

1 c. sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

preheat oven to 350'

run the fruit cocktail a few seconds in a food processor

mix fruit cocktail, sugar and eggs

mix flour, salt and baking soda

blend dry ingredients into fruit cocktail mixture

pour into 13 by 9 baking pan and bake approx. 30 min. or when toothpick comes clean when inserted

While cake is baking, blend butter, carnation milk, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan.

Stir, and bring to a boil over medium heat

Boil for 5 minutes

Pour sauce over the cooled cake
