I just got this recipe and have not tried it yet but love the sound of it... you can make this as hot and spicy as you want by adjusting the jalapenos... ..this recipe is from the Florida Vegetable council Recipes

Sweet potato? I'd suggest we're looking at around the same amount of this as the sausage. Much more and you'd not need the flour.
As with any soup I'd cook for longer to combine flavours too. Suggest chorizo for the sausage in this.
