Grandmas Red Sauce

- 1 pkg. salt pork back, cut into small cubes shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 cans tomato puree shopping list
- 1/3 tomato can water shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried basil shopping list
How to make it
- In dutch oven over medium heat, render salt pork and remove pork chunks, leaving fat in pan
- Add garlic and let cook a minute or so
- Add puree, water, pepper and basil
- Simmer 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally
