    Bagels And Eggels
I found this using "bagel" in the ingredient search. This was perfect for my lunch. More on the recipe. Very easy with good results.

That looks gorgeous Frankieanne! Great pics! I miss Michelle (Mbelisle). She hasn't been on in a long time. We met up once a few years ago in Ottawa when she was in the City on business from Saskatchewan.
This weekend we had relatives drive down from Montreal to visit us and they brought us two packages of Montreal bagels which have a big reputation in Canada.....similar to the Sourdough bread from San Fran. :)

I think this would be a fun thing to do for our brekkie tomorrow morning.

Oooh, baked in a wood fired oven! That sounds great! I've never heard of Montreal style bagels.
Thank you, ladies. This sure was easy! Clean-up was a snap!

Omg, yum Frankie, yes I'm drooling :) I make egg in the holes all the time, the kids love them, it's the same thing but with regular bread. Never heard of this bagel version, I love it!

We love bagel, egg and bacon sandwiches--our favorite breakfast. Always used a fried egg, never in the hole, hummmmm....

Frankieanne....did you cut your bagel in half? Your bagel looks so nice and thick compared to mine and some of my egg couldn't fit in the hole (guess I should have widened it as Michelle stated). It tasted yummy though. Jim's egg turned out perfectly (I did the 12 min. thing like you and then added the cheese and did an additional maybe 2 min.) but my yolk was hard. Perhaps it got scratched on a poppy seed on the way down. :) Will add my pic as soon as my Internet quits being cranky.

I used one half of a Lender's bagel. They are pretty thick. A whole bagel is probably 1-1/2". And I did cut out some of the middle to make that 1-1/2" for the egg to sit in. That's too bad that nasty poppy seed broke the yolk though. :)
I'll be looking for your pictures.

It still looks like a tasty breakfast, Janet. It did kind of boil over though, didn't it. :)

Yep. It did. :) LOL! Plus because my bagel was so skinny, it was a bit too toasty after being in the oven for 15 min. But I think that was a good amount of time for the egg to set. I think the lesson here is.....chubby bagels are best for this recipe.
