Barbecue Bacon Turkey Burger

  • notyourmomma 12 years ago
Used Superfoodman's Bbq Turkey Burger/saved as a base for our lunch. Used Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet and Spicy bbq sauce, topped the burgers with a generous extra dose of sauce, plus really good cheddar and a couple of slices of bacon. WE certainly cancelled out the benefits of eating a healthy turkey burger by adding the bacon, but the burger itself was moist, flavorful and tasty. It was not dry at all and it would convert Fred to liking turkey burgers if they were all as moist as this one was.

Those look great NYM. I have never had a turkey burger. Bacon must have been great with them. Thanks for posting this

That does look really yummy Tina! I'll have to give that one a whirl too!
I had never had a Turkey burger before last year MrP/Frankieanne and I truly think they are just as moist as a beef burger. The recipe I tried, just so you can compare was Lori's
Turkey Club Burgers With Bacon And Swiss Cheese
    It's excellent as well.

Looks great NYM! At least you had bacon with a turkey burger and not bacon with a beefy burger....so that should clear your conscious a little ;D

Good justification ML2C. I'll use that same reasoning in front of Fred's doctor....LOL I don't think he would agree with me....but some saving in fat and cholesterol is better than none.
