Beef Stroganoff Casserole/saved

Such a great rainy Sunday comfort meal:) We enjoyed this dish, really tasty! I used ground turkey and since I'm always one ingredient short, I had to sub chicken broth for the white wine..loved the addition of Dijon..really added a ton of flavor! Next time I make this, I'll be sure to have the wine on hand! Thanks to Lindsay for sharing:)

Thank you Bakerme:) That's too bad your husband is lactose intolerant..a friend of mine is as well and gets some relief with Lactaid, but it probably doesn't work for everyone..

He controls the intolerance strictly through diet because he already takes enough prescription meds that he rattles when he walks, and doesn't want to add one more pill if he doesn't absolutely have to! Isn't getting older fun?? Not - haha!

Oh Bakerme it is great that he can control it with diet for sure. I can understand why he would not want to take another medication. Just to let you know my sister only takes them just before consuming any possible dairy products but in your DH case I would suggest talking to pharmacist to make sure it won't conflict with any other of his meds.

Bren, if you ever decide to make beef stroganoff I would suggest using an authentic recipe, since you haven't made it before:) Here's one that looks good Beef Stroganoff. I made this casserole because I love a good casserole..(ha FA) . But to really get the whole stroganoff experience maybe a recipe closer to authentic;) I don't eat beef so sometimes I make a chicken stroganoff using basically the same ingredients as you would use for beef:)

Bakerme, good that your friend can control it with his diet...

Nadine, yes, I agree, Lindsay has some really nice recipes!
