Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pre-heat a large non-stick skillet with a lid to medium-high. Add 2 tbsp. oil to the skillet and brown the chicken on both sides. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Turn the heat down, put the lid on and cook the chicken until it is done.
  • Once the chicken is done, remove it from the skillet and turn the heat back to medium-high. Add the honey, lemon juice, water, ginger, poultry seasoning and garlic to the skillet and simmer until the sauce is sticky (you may have to play with the temperature, turning it up to get it thickening and down so it doesn't burn).
  • Once the sauce is thick (and when it is thick, it is stick to the chicken thick), return the chicken and coat well with the sauce.

We both really enjoyed this and I will be making it again. I loved the slight tartness of the lemon with the sweetness of the honey. There are just the two of us so I used two boneless chicken breasts but kept the other amounts the same. The only exception to this was the garlic. I used two cloves because if one is good, two would be better.Great recipe, thanks for sharing.

This was delicious!!! The sauce took about 15 or so minute with a rapid boil to get to the perfect stickiness! Added my pic in with the other beauties! More in the link below :)

I loved this. What a great recipe. Took me quite a while to get the sauce to thicken, but when it did, it was perfect. Thank you for a great recipe. Added my pic. More posted in IMI here Lemon Chicken

This was really delicious. There was a bit of a tang to it, but then the honey kicked in. I used boneless, skinless thighs and served it with rice to soak up the sauce. Added my picture. Thanks for the post.

Loved it! The poultry seasoning, ginger and garlic add zing to the classic lemon-honey combo...

great recipe. I'm a student with limited ingredients and although I substituted lime for lemon I had the rest of the ingredients which is always a suprise. The chicken tasted great and the sauce thickened up very nicely.
