    Lemon Herb Turkey Meatballs
    By DetroitTokyo
These are first-class tasty meatballs we had for dinner last night. I used extra lean ground chicken and served them with large flat eggs noodles and a creamy alfredo type sauce. I was able to make 10 entree size balls and the only thing I did not have was fresh lemon zest. I substituted a couple of squirts of concentrated lemon instead. We ate 6 and the rest will be frozen and used in subs. Dahlia' directions were bang on. I can see using this for a meatloaf too and when cooled could be a lovely sliced meat for sandwiches etc.( without all the preservatives you get in deli meat.) The garlic did not overpower the other ingredients and all the flavours complimented each other extremely well. Tiny ones could certainly go in soups or as a great little appetizers. I can see myself experimenting more with this recipe in the future. Thanks Dahlia for sharing such a wonderful versatile post.:-)

I have to say I am not a meatball fan. The only meatballs I actually like are teeny weeny ones I use in soup! :) But Joce you have described Dahlia's recipe so well and it sounds so appealing that I have bookmarked it to give it a whirl. Nice pic-atures of the meat-a-balla's........:)

I've never had lemon in a meatball either! I love the meatloaf idea.

I think this recipe has endless ideas for ground meats. I had a sandwich yesterday for lunch with the meatballs sliced and it was really good.

I made these to go in Italian Wedding Soup/saved I used ground beef instead of turkey and cut back slightly on the panko. Very yummy...this made quite a few meatballs so my husband and I were snacking on them while I was getting the soup ready for them. I love the brightness of flavor the lemon zest does for these, yum!! I baked these at 350 for about 22 minutes....
