Dirty Mashed Potatoes

    I made Sparow64's
    Dirty Mashed Potatoes/saved
last night. SOOOOOO GOOD! I have a recipe myself for Twice-Baked potatoes that I've always enjoyed and this recipe to me tasted like the filling for a Twice-Baked potato with a bit more attitude and a bit less fuss! There's a lot of flavours going on in here. I halved the recipe and used cheddar cheese. Didn't have any chives so just cut up a green onion. I used evaporated milk and a potato masher to make them 'mashed'. :)
These stand up on their own but boy they'd be a good match for that steak you all are talkin' about on the other thread! :)
I will totally put this recipe on my regular potato rotation. Thanks for yet another great recipe Lori! :)

That looks great, Chuckie. Really teeny portion, tho. And it does sound perfect with Sparrows steak. Theres just not enough meals in a day to make everything : (

Oh, I am glad you made these without sour cream because I'm not a fan. I was wondering if more butter would work. It would work for me! :)

Try them without the sourcream Frankieanne! I'm sure I've been out of sour cream and used more butter more than once. lol :)

Good spuds. Good flavors. Good textures.
Started boiling 5lbs taters instead of 3, so I had to double all the rest of the ingredients.
Used yogurt to replace the sour cream.
Used Asagio to replace the Parmesan.
Used evaporated milk since I used a partial can yesterday on another recipe.
Used that hand masher thingy since I had one.
