Fresh Blackberry White Chocolate Scones

Blackberries were $1 dollar a package last week! I picked up 3...and used 1 on this recipe. I've made scones a couple of times and they were always slightly dry and crumbly. This was completely different! They are soft and but stay together very well. I'm not a fan of white chocolate, but I really enjoyed it in these, and my kids of course loved them. I made 1/3 cup sugar into a heaping one just to ensure a good amount of sweetness...they are VERY easy to make and delicious...I'm sticking with this scone recipe for now on, maybe switching out with different berries now and then :)

Its probably the only chocolate you do like because it doesn't taste like chocolate. It tastes like, well, ummmmm - not chocolate. :)
Those are so gorgeous, ml2c! They look delicious. I'll bet they would be great with raspberries.

Yes that is a great photo and yes white chocolate is not chocolate. :-) My brother prefers the white also--I just don't get it.
I've only had scones one time and they were dry, nice to know they don't need to be. I would go with blueberries--love 'em

We eat a fair number of scones...they're as easy as catheads, really, so they are a regular for breakfast... I have a few recipes posted.

Nope, sure doesn't taste like chocolate even a lil bit .... good for it! ;-)

I think I like white chocolate a little more than I used to now after trying this, maybe small amounts is what I like, not a huge white chocolate bar or anything...

Hehe, and I was thinking strawberries would be good! Oh gosh, any berry thrown in these would be delicious!

White chocolate............ taste like sweet creamy wax......... To me, anyway : P
its like non alcohol beer. What's the point? But for the record, I would rather have white chocolate instead of cilantro : )
