Guacamole Grilled Cheese Sandwich

I have put guacamole on sandwiches before but never thought of making it the star! This was delicious! I used a deli cheddar with green olives and used sourdough bread. This was surprisingly easy to grill, I thought the guac would start running out the sides. It did a littlle with each bite but I would just swipe it with my finger and eat it that way lol! Make extra to eat with chips :)

Wow.....this looks delicious Michelle! I've been eyeing up this sandwich since Joce posted it but for whatever reason the Guac in there intimidates me. I guess I was worried it would make the bread soggy or something. I really must give it a whirl. Lovely picture.

Thanks! It's funny that you are worried about it being soggy and I was worried about it coming out the sides! Definitely not soggy at all though so no worries and eating it, it barely squeezed out, which wasn't really a problem.

I am delighted you liked it ML2C:) It is one of our favourites around here. Janet if it isn't soggy at all but if you were worried about that you could just use sliced avocados instead. I do that quite often too! LOL You are all making me very hungry and the pic looks delicious! Thanks you for your lovely comments:)

I like avocado, but rarely have them. I tend to buy them when hungry and then they sit too long before I make them. Thats a great looking wich, Mom. No panini-ing it, huh?

Warm avocado is something I have to get my head around.... I've had it a few times, and was delicious, but I never think about it being a "warm" ingredient. Like you, though, I love it on sammiches/burgers so this should be a no brainer. :)

Ahh don't waste those avocados Mr P!! They are actually pretty expensive here (which I think), about 1.50-2.00 each!
Keni, I have never thought of it like that actually warm or not warm avocado...now you got me thinking....Okay my head hurts lol!
