Hamburger Buns

    Recipe by Chefjeb: Hamburger Buns
    I keep going back to these buns. They have never failed.
    I'm sure we have talked about them in this group but that was before we were dating and linking. So here it is once again.
    Added 1 c whole wheat to the mix. Served up some pulled pork in the buns.
    Made some pics but Chefjeb keeps deleting them from his recipe so I'll just post them here in this string.

    Chefjeb was here back in the day when people were posting not so nice things (including pictures) on recipes. He left, unfortunately, and for whatever reason he's never liked anyone posting pictures on his recipes. I was sorry when he left. He knew a lot about regional cooking and gave me some advice on cooking alligator many years ago.
    You certainly have made these many times, pso! The definitely come out well for you each time.

    Think they are just a little bigger than store bought buns. Recipe calls for 16 buns, I always make a dozen.

    Back to the trough again. Having some Carnitas tomorrow and need the buns for the Bbq sammies. Only using 1pk yeast this time. Buns came out just wonderful. I suspect the extra pk of yeast is to help goose the raise time and for flavor.

    Just lucky stabs plus I've been through a lot of the pages looking for other stuff and sometimes remember about where I may have seen something before. It is getting harder as the number of pages increase.

    Bump................Made these again. Used 1 cups bread, AP, wheat, and rye flours. Didn't blow up as big as just bread flour but tasty just the same.
