Homemade Chili Sauce

    Recipe by Kismet: Homemade Chili Sauce/saved
    Well flavored chili sauce. Not too hot but spicy just as well.
    The can of tomatoes is about 28oz. I used fresh tomatoes.
    Makes 2 cups sauce.
    Blended after it cooled in a food processor for a smooth consistency.
    Time is spot on.
    This is going on a pot roast later today.

    How 'bout a dip mixed in with refried beans.
    Pizza sauce for a southwest flair.
    BTW, I used Ancho Chile Powder for the crushed dried hot pepper.

    I bought a bottle once for a recipe and had a hard time using up the rest of it. Now I'm seeing it more often in recipes but couldn't name one at the moment. I guess an ingrediant search is in order.
