Dqs Jalfrezi Style Chicken Curry/ by DonSpain
This is great, loved it! Just what I was craving, a perfect comfort meal! :)
I followed the recipe to a T, and I wouldn't change a thing! I used San Marzano whole tomatoes packed in Puree, so I used the whole can ( one lrg. can). If you used a can of diced tomatoes I would drain it though. It was perfectly spiced, a little back in the throat heat but not burn your tongue spicy if you know what I mean? lol ;)
I served it over rice, and today the leftovers will be Lunch served with Naan bread.
Very good recipe, I highly recommend it!

That is one delicious looking plate of food! It sounds like there is just enough heat in it, too. I think the yogurt is an interesting ingredient.

Thanks FA. I think the yogurt helps with the acidity of tomatoes, and cools down the heat! Pretty typical in Indian cooking, but I think sour cream could be used too. :)
Thanks Marie and Michelle, it is delicioso!
Your very welcome Don! I'm so glad you uploaded your recipes here! :)

Messed up on the measurements so bad but it turned out surprisingly well. Will have to give this recipe another go at some point.

    Thanks Bakerme :)

I'm glad it still turned out for you Points! This is one of those recipes that if you're not use to metric, you'll have to print it out and write the imperial measurements beside it!
Mmm, I can just smell this in my mind, yummy stuff! Will have to make again soon!

Glad it ended up turning out Points. I do the same as Shona and print out a recipe and write in the imperial measurements. Are those the measurements you messed up on I'm guessing??

Forgot the fresh corainder. Someone ate the yogurt so I approximated with whipped heavy cream and evaporated milk. Mistook the tsp for Tbsp in the lemon juice. Didn't have the lemon juice and subbed with lime juice. And I put the bell pepper in with the onions garlic and ginger. That part was not a mistake, as I don't like crunchy veggies.
No review or rating on this one until I get a chance for a do-over.
