    Kielbasa, Potato, And Onion Skillet
    OK, since when did one pound of kielbasa become 13.8 ounces. I suppose right around the time that a six ounce can of tuna became five and five pounds of sugar became four. Oh - and with no reduction in price.
    <sigh>
    Anyway - my "pound" of kielbasa came in two links so I just used one because I wanted to save the other for another recipe I have bookmarked. So, not really a half pound. No need for salt as the kielbasa adds it. I think this would be nicer with an herb or two. Maybe some Italian seasoning. Even some real garlic. But, it was easy and quick and gave me a chance to use my electric skillet (which I really liked!). Used two TBS of oil because my skillet is kinda big. I have two nice bowls full leftover - one of which is going to make a great breakfast tomorrow. A little bit more detail on the recipe.

    I hate what they did with tuna and sugar. I dont really "shop" for price except meats and veggies. However a few weeks ago I was going up and down the beer isle weighing the better price between a pack of 12, 18. 24, 30, and 36. THe 24 was the better price. Being semi proud that I value shopped I came home to have one of my new beers. I open the case and reach for a can and discover they are 8oz instead of 12. What good is an 8oz can of beer. Looking back at the packaging I notice in small font 8oz and very LARGE font 24. I know its my fault, but that little episode still burns me.

    Opps. I got off track. Sorry for the rant....... This recipe does look like it would need more seasoning. Pic looks good tho : )

    I saw that one, DT, when I was looking at kielbasa recipes but I was out of Dijon. And bacon - which is also so, so wrong. :)

    The package resizing is the exact reason I don't like when recipes list ingredients as a can of or a small package of... It dates the recipe and makes it off when trying to make it in the future of it's posting. Pounds, cups, teaspoons, et cetera please.

    I really don't like when recipes list "can" as an amount. I saw one posted here at GR just the other day. There are so many different sizes of cans!

    Plus I think many of the posters/viewers don't really think about the fact that this site is used by people from all over the world. Things like fahrenheit and centigrade; pounds and grams can be converted but a box of __ cannot.

    I posted a recipe kind of like that but with carrots, bacon, broccoli added too,, we always called it Godd Stuff so thats what i posted it under. You sure cant beat the flavor of sausage with potatoes and onions,, mmmm but I usually taste to see if it needs something else because lets face it potatos arent chocked full of flavor.

    I was thinking spinach would be good on that, too. And I had some in the refrigerator! Thought of it too late.
