Made this last night and I can't say enough about it! Can't in my wildest dreams imagine why it would have a 4.9 rating. I would give it a 10 if I could! Comments on recipe. Anyone who loves a moist, creamy, delicious, easy chicken dish MUST try this.

Lillian, you can use any kind of chutney you want. I am doing this one during the week with Donna's Cheesey spinach rice?,think that's the name.

I've always used mango. It's the only chutney this one horse town carries. But suppose you could make your own chutney. There's probably a few recipes here on GR.

I did use mango chutney, but at the store I saw a cranberry one I'm going to use next time on this. What is chutney, anyway? LOL Points......?

Chutney is just fruit, spices, sugar and vinegar that is cooked down into a sort of relish. I use chutney when I make cheese balls for a cracker platter.

Made this again today for an after church lunch. Didn't even have to solicit a response from mother. Took my empty plate into the kitchen and went to gather her plate but she was still working on the back piece and guarding her plate like a one armed convict. She managed to take a breath and said "good stuff, Maynard!"

Seasoned the pieces before pouring the cooking sauce over, with salt, pepper, and some chicken spice rub. Also used orange marmalade instead of apricot.

Maynard is a dopey beatnik character on an old sitcom named Dobby Gillis. It was on about the same era as "The Patty Duke Show". Maynard also played Gilligan on Gilligan's Island. Talk about being typecast, I cant' recall the actors name. I know what it is but it escapes me.

"Good stuff, Maynard" was one of the catch-phrases on the show.
Maynard T. Cravatz, not to be confused with the Cravatzes whom lived across the street from that beautiful witch Samantha in the sitcom "Bewitched"

Surely you are old enough to remember all of that? I'm not the only prune in this salad. : )

LOL! Points! ....'I'm not the only prune in this salad'...'Don't think I'd be able to go to sleep tonight without that marble falling into the hole'. LOL! I've never heard these before! You really should write a book with all these funny sayings in it! You and Dr. Phil could be co-authors!

And no, you're not the only prune in this salad because I remember all those shows also!

Thanks for the stroll down memory lane! :)
