Myrons Amazing Beef

Recipe was reviewed over a year ago so I dropped it back into the "IMI" group for another look-see.

A very good crock pot beef recipe. I made some hamburger buns by Chefjeb to go with the shredded beef.

Hamburger Buns

I was unsure whether mother would be enchanted with the pepperocinis. She liked it. Not even the first scowl.

I'm looking forward to making some beef barley soup from the left overs, if any.

There are several sizes of pepperocini jars to choose from. The recipe is not specific on how much, so I bought and used a quart jar.

Glad you and your Mom liked the beef...it just melts in your mouth!

I also use the leftover beef drippings in the barley soup, if I see that the soup looks a little dry. Nothing goes to waste!

I'll have to check out that bun recipe!

Are these a very fluffy type of buns? Did you do the egg wash on top, like the other members mentioned?

No.........No egg wash.........Egg wash does tend to make the crust a little firmer......Buns are supposed to be soft crusted........Might be OK to brush them with butter after they come out of the oven.

Bake for 6 minutes then turn pans and bake for another 6 minutes for even browning. If you prefer a bigger bun, cut each dough half into 6 pieces instead of eight and shape.

Yes...I think I would make the buns bigger because I would probably use them in place of kaiser rolls for pulled pork sandwiches or even for the Amazing beef sandwiches.
