What size bottle Pepperocini did you use? There are three sizes on the store shelf.

This recipe turned out very well. Even got by mother and her aversion to spicy food.

I made this yesterday and it was really good. The pepperoncinis put a type of "smokey" taste into the meat, I thought. I kind of missed some herbs and/or spices though. I did put garlic cloves into the meat. Thanks so much for posting this.

Made this again tonight and its even better using rump roast! Update 12/15/09...I used a 12 oz. bottle of pepperoncinis and 5 large cloves of garlic cut into slivers.

This was so very good! I used bottom round roast. I made it as written. I cooked it for 8 hours. After it was cooked I shredded the meat and put it back into the crock pot with all the delicious juices to keep the meat moist. Then when it was ready to serve, I put it on burger buns and drizzled it with some of the drippings. This tastes very much like corned beef. I served this with Zena's "Amish Onion Patties"...this was a great easy meal! I hope you like my photo!
