    Pizza Grilled Cheese
I liked this a lot more than I expected to although I'm not sure what I expected! This was easy and quick and its kid friendly. Pizza lover friendly, too. I used French bread but I think sourdough would be great. You could put some other "stuff" in it as well. I will definitely make this again and probably add some onion next time.

That looks super yummy Frankieanne! Great picture! I'd love this I'm sure. My only worry is that the tomato sauce would make my sandwich soft/wet?

Thank you, Janet. I was afraid it would, too, but it didn't. Somehow. :)

3 Tbs of sauce is a ton for 1 sandwich, maybe she meant tsp. Even so, that would still be a lot! My kids would definitely love this!

I think a Tbs or two would do OK. But, starting with teaspoons may be a good idea as well. The sauce oozed out when I put the top bread slice on so 3 Tbs is definitely too much for the bread I had.

Okay, just got an email that my daughters dance class will be running LONGER than normal tonight, SO I think I'll be making these, if my half opened bag of pepperoni's smell good still....they usually last forever, right? :)

I was thinking of this for tonight, too. Easy Monday night stuff. Yeah, that's what I do. Smell it. If it smells OK, I eat it. :)

Well we ended up just stopping and getting Taco Bell last night, but we had this for lunch today! I think this was the first time I've had pizza sauce on a sandwich... and it was good but I did cut it in half. I used a sturdy sourdough bread just to make sure it didn't get soggy, which it didn't. My pepperoni's smelled and tasted okay, and I'm not dead yet so I'm guessing they were good lol! Added my picture.

I'm glad you tried this. I thought it was really good. I think I'll use less sauce, too, next time. In fact - I haven't had dinner yet...
Glad that pepperoni didn't get ya! :)
I love your picture. Nice melted mozzarella.
Taco Bell is a guilty pleasure of mine.

I guess it didn't get made for you either last night?
Oh gosh, Taco Bell is my daughters favorite place in the world....she could eat it every night, and for not liking spicy stuff, she kills about 8 packets of fire sauce every time! I don't get it....

ML2C.when I buy pepperoni (yes, turkey pepperoni lol) I freeze what we don't use in the same little ziplock type bag it came in..squeeze out the excess air first, it works well!
    Your pic looks yummy!!!

Ha, I freeze everything, and have never frozen pepperoni! Guess I feel like it's deli meat or something, and we will get through it before it's bad!

I didn't have this last night, ml2c, as I had this Moons Over My Hammy
but I had one tonight! :) I cut the sauce in half, which is much better, I think.
Oh, I never thought of freezing pepperoni, Marie. That's a good idea.
Fire sauce! Yipes. No sauce here (probably not a big surprise :D).

Made this today for lunch. Got my cheese and pizza fix all in one shot. Used my New England Hot Dog Buns for the bread.
Put a slice of provolone on one side and mozzarella on the other. Slices are a little thicker than bread. Dropped the heat down to med-lo to get a good center melt without burning the sides.
    Delicious.
Used one heaping Tablespoon sauce in the sammie. Could have put some sauce in a bowl to dip if I wanted to get fancy.

It is a good way to get an easy and quick pizza fix! I really like the idea of the provolone but am out. I'll have to try that. I love your melty cheese picture, pso.

Its amazing how simple this is. I still need to add some onions to one. I love your picture. It looks all buttery and melty and crispy.
