    Potato Chip Cookies
Nice to know you can get breakfast/lunch, dinner and dessert out of a bag of chips. :-)
Last of the chip recipes. I think I have enough left for another of Chuckie's sandwiches.

That's hilarious! I really wouldn't have tried a cookie recipe with potato chips but your picture and description really does sound good and I just maybe have to widen my horizons and give them a whirl. :)
    Nice post Frankieanne!

When I was doing a potato chip cookie search (before I found my bookmark) there are some recipes here that do have chocolate chips in them. :)
This is a really good cookie. I didn't taste any saltiness though.

The fact that you didn't taste any saltiness is a plus as far as I'm concerned.

I've been wanting to try these cookies ever since you first showcased them here in IMI Frankieanne! We've been invited to a friend's cottage tomorrow and her hubby is a Junk Food Junkie so I thought a batch of these would make the perfect Hostess gift. :)
I like big cookies so I used a tablespoon to dole out my first sheet full. My batter looked stiff especially when you'd said that they reminded you of Irish lace cookies. Indeed, when I pulled the first batch out of the oven they looked absolutely nothing like yours and hadn't even browned up a whole lot. So I stuck them back in the oven for probably at least another 5 min. Came out fine and nice and crunchy, but not as nice looking as your picture.
Second batch I decided I'd add another heaping tbsp. of margarine (yes, I used margarine instead of butter so that might be a reason for the difference as well) to the batter and this time I doled them out on to the cookie sheet with a tsp. Still didn't come out as flat and nice looking as yours but they taste good.
It was fun. I'd have never thought to use potato chips in a cookie before. :)

Glad you tried these, looks like it's my turn:) What do they taste like?

I'm glad you tried them! It may be the margarine. I think butter is probably the preferred of the two for baking. I think anyway. I'm not much of a baker.

I'm sure you're right Frankieanne. I just never have butter on hand so always sub margarine.
Marie, you can taste the potato chip afterwards, but mostly vanilla and sugar in a nice crisp cookie initially. They're fun.

Wonder how this would work on Frito corn chips. Someone whip up a batch and find out.

Do you mean potato chip coated Fritos or Frito coated fries? :-)

I mean crush the Fritos and use them in place of the potato chips in the recipe.

    I was just teasing.
    IMO Fritos would be fantastic.

I think this one may be on you, pso. I must be a Fritos purist. I crushed up some Fritos and put them on some chicken strips and baked them up about a month ago. I love Fritos but I didn't care for them on the chicken strips at all.
