How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar add vanilla
  • Add flour and chips.
  • Mix well.
  • Drop onto cookie sheet in small amounts.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 12 min.

    I've had these bookmarked since they were posted. I finally got around to them. I loved the flavor and crunchiness! The vanilla came through, too. They remind me of Irish Lace Cookies in the way they flatten and spread and then get crunchy after cooling. I took "small amounts" to mean 1 tsp so that is what I did and baked mine for 14 minutes. I halved this recipe and got around 16 cookies. I added a picture and put it in a thread in IMI 7/7/13

    oh my gosh i forgot how good this cookie dough is raw...lol...its almost a sin to bake it lol!!! I'm probably going to end up with only a few finished cookies

    OH!!! That is a half of cup..I forget not all of us know these old fashion terms..lol=0)..Im sure 1 Tbsp would make them dry as sand.Thanks for letting me know~M

    I'm a huge fan of "salty/sweet" combination, so I love these cookies. I have a few recipes that I've made, but I will have to try your grandmother's version...they are definitely NOT low-fat!!
