    Roasted Turkey Thighs
Got four thighs today for $5!! Woo hooo! The whole package weighed 3.25 pounds so mine were smaller than asked for in the recipe. Good thing because I am totally stuffed after eating just one with some asparagus for health because (cover your ears, MrP) I ate the delicious, crispy skin!
Gonna cook up the other two for a recipe of mine I have posted with no pictures. Not very many recipes for turkey thighs here. Guess they aren't too common or something.

Yeh, yeh, yeh. : ) I covered my ears. But my eyes hurt :P Good thing you had some asparagus. But, justsozyaknow, if the skin was crispy I would eat it too. When I have tried to cook with the skin the only way I was ever able to get it crisp was to over cook it

At first look I was going to say how big those thighs were. Then I looked at the recipe and realized it was turkey. I have not seen turkey thighs in a store before. I would grab those in a heart beat. Those look GREAT

Did you use that pan in the oven or on the stove top?

Thanks MrP. I went to the store looking for turkey thighs and found none out. I asked at the meat counter and they had them in the back and packed them up for me. Guess it pays to speak up once in a while.
The pan is cast iron so I was able to use it in the oven.

Gorgeous pic Frankie! I am going to hunt for turkey thighs. I have not noticed them here either? Yuppers! It does help to speak up every once in awhile. I wish my Hubby would when I send him for groceries! I guess I shouldn't complain at least he does it. You hit the jackpot on the price too. Pleased you made this. I will give it a whirl if I can find the thighs?

Thanks, everyone! I was surprised they didn't have them out. Makes me wonder what else they got back there. :-D They must not be very common. A search for them here only turns up a few recipes.

Okay I used the other half of my thighs on this recipe. Very delicious and I loved how simple it was! To make it a little easier I mixed all the herbs together then mixed the butter in to make a big lump of herb butter. Then I rubbed it all over the thigh including under the skin. In the oven I was surprised that the skin got as crispy as it did! I ate mine with a knife and fork (Okay I'm a little girly) and my husband just picked his up and ate it like a rabid animal with juices running down his face. Thanks for showing us this Frankie! I added my pic ;)

I picked up a pair of thighs today for this recipe. I havent decided if Im going to leave the skin on yet. Im leaning more and more to leave it since it gets crispy. And ML2C, thats ok that you used a knife and fork. I wont hold it against you. Mr ML2C made up for it by eating it the "right" way = )

Your post made me laugh, ml2c. Rabid animal. Ha. This is a great recipe. By the way, I eat my chicken with a knife and fork as well as I did these. You are not the only one. :) Love the idea of rubbing herb butter under the skin! Love your herby picture.

I LOVE finding meat on sale! That's how I found these thighs, they were 75 cents off per pound. Doesn't sound like much but hey every little bit counts ;)

I have not been able to find thighs or legs for months now. All this talk about has had me craving the turkey thighs. I asked the butcher in Winn Dixie and he pointed out some nasty looking smoked legs. Pass... I'll be patient they will show up again somewhere.

Laura, I bought two thighs at Publix last week just for this recipe. They had a bunch of legs and thighs out for purchase. I'm pulling them out to defrost for dinner tomorrow.
Love the ease of the recipe.

These turkey thighs rocked. The skin was crispy and delicious. The meat was still juicy and tender. Each thigh was perfect portion control for us. Very easy to put together and the convection oven feature made the skin crispier but not burnt. YUMMY Will make again.

I finally got around to making this. This was really good. I even ate the skin which is pretty rare for me. I would definitely make this again. Thanks Otterpond for a great recipe. Added a pic

Glad you liked it! I see you made couscous again. Did you like it any better?

I still dont know if Im sold on this couscous stuff. Its so bland. I know rice is too but it can be fried or have sauce poured over it and stuff like that. This couscous stuff doesnt seem like you could do that with it. Wouldnt it clump up. Maybe I need to serve it with something sweet or extra spicey or something. I cant remember what I had with it last time. I guess there are different ways it can be made. I added spinach and butter this time but didnt notice any difference. Any suggestions?

Yeah sauce probably isn't a couscous thing. I think using fresh herbs in couscous with some tomatoes and maybe some green onion is my favorite way. Basil, thyme, parsley lemon juice or lime is good with it.

Those were some good thighs. Makes me want to find some more.
I've never made couscous, MrP so you're one ahead of me. :) If its kinda bland it seems like ml2c's suggestion would help. Herbs and green onion would certainly add some flavor.
