Robertg's Foo Yung

    Foo Yung
This was the best recipe for Egg Foo Yung sauce that I've ever made. The addition of the vinegar plus the sugar gave it sweet/sour tones. For the Foo Yung itself, I used leftovers that HAD to be used...leftover pork, leftover cooked asparagus & red pepper, and I did add green onion. Oh, and the rice was leftover, too! :) Great lunch.

The photo is great.....I have this printed out to try but for some reason just have not....Too many recipes, so little time....LOL. Thanks for the reminder that I should make this soon and the happy memory of Robertg. He sure was an awfully nice man.

We love Egg Foo Yung but I've always just bought a packaged gravy (Gasp!) to use over it. I'd love to try out this sauce. Thanks Willow!

Hey GK. Welcome back. The only Foo type thing I have ever made is this Egg Foo Ramen I dont know if I have ever had regular egg foo young. Im sure I have. from what I remember of what I made it tasted familiar but needed a sauce or gravy.

This was pretty delicious stuff! I did as Gk and added asparagus and red bell pepper. Didn't use any meat. This flipped easier than I though considering I didn't measure out 1/4 cup for each one and kind of made them pretty big! That gravy is very good too! I do think I like Egg Foo Yung Ramen Noodle Style little better just because of the noodles. I would make this gravy to go on Egg Foo Yung Ramen Noodle Style. Nothing wrong with this recipe at all just personal preference.

Sounds like the gravy is the best part of this particular recipe! It looks easy, too. I love your picture. I can see the little red pepper. I like when little things like that come through in a food photo. :)
